Sao Vicente island is steeped in Colonial history, has excellent infrastructure and has a thriving Capital. It is the cultural heartland of the islands and has a wonderful feel good factor.It benefits from having lower costs of living and very good private and public hospitals.

Sao Vicente island has no direct flights from the UK at the moment, but there are direct flights from Amsterdam, Paris and Lisbon. Flying from the Uk would require going via the above routes or to fly to Sal via Thomsons or Thomas Cook and catch an inter-island flight (Binter Canarias or TACV) from Sal (flight time is approx 35 minutes and price is 100 – 130 euros).
